Unit 2: Designing Software Interfaces Computer software programs, or applications, are the visual component of the computer-as-interface that people interact with. Software is developed to perform specific functions. The visual design of the software has to make the task easier to do, it has to make how-it-works obvious, and it should not make the task more difficult.
The Purpose of This Unit:
The purpose of this unit is to develop students’ knowledge of, and technical ability to construct, control systems which employ: • Event driven programming (e.g., Visual basic) • Physical systems • Control sensors and output devices • Physical interface cards (e.g., PC GadgetMaster II)
